CIMR Arctic coverage
Synchronization with EPS-SG "B" mission
The two animations below show the temporal collocation of CIMR with the upcoming EUMETSAT Polar Satellite - Second Generation "B" satellite (the first of these should launch in 2023). EPS-SG "B" satellites will carry many instruments, including the MicroWave Imager (MWI) and the Scatterometer (SCA) that both will be very interesting to use in synergy with CIMR, for a wide range of retrievals. In the animations below, the swath plotted for EPS-SG is that of SCA. Note how the collocation happens in only few minutes in the polar regions (few hours at the Equator).
