MOSAiC collects key data for CIMR Science

Satellite observation is the only way to effectively monitor the Arctic sea ice on a broad scale, but gaps in our knowledge still hamper our ability to accurately retrieve some key sea ice and snow parameters. Unparalleled control measurements gathered during MOSAiC expedition will now help to overcome some of these weaknesses, and allow better algorithms to be developed for existing and future satellite missions such as CIMR.
